What are your top recommendations or 'must-visit' spots in Aurora for travelers looking to experience the essence of the city?

From our favorite parks, Carson and Del Mar and Red-Tailed Hawk, to the best indoor play spot, Lava Island. Our must-visit spots include places for the whole family. The Stanley Marketplace, a vibrant community hub housed in a former aviation manufacturing facility, offers a mix of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. Jewell Wetlands Park provides walking trails with countless opportunities for nature and wildlife viewing. Nights spent with a relaxing stay at the Gaylord Rockies, where the comfort of the great outdoors is just an elevator away.

Can you share your ideal day-trip itinerary for someone visiting Aurora for the first time? What are the must-see attractions and hidden gems you would recommend?

Start your morning with a delicious breakfast from The French Press. In the late morning and early afternoon, enjoy outdoor activities at Aurora Reservoir and dive into local history at the Aurora History Museum. Lunch at Comida in the Stanley Marketplace while browsing shops selling unique artisanal goods, clothing, and home decor. In the late afternoon and evening, take a guided tour at Plains Conservation Center and savor a more upscale dinner at Borealis. Finally, unwind with a martini at The Hideaway Lounge

Families can relish in American classics at Black Bear or Rosie's Diner, while couples can indulge in a romantic date night at Annette.
