This is the spot to go if you want to get away from the rush and bustle of the city while also listening to live-free music. With magnificent views of the mountains, this park makes you feel like you're miles away. On a hot summer day, this is one of the few (if not the only) sites in this large state park where you may obtain a drink (be it just water or alcohol).
The Aurora History Museum houses some of the city's earliest antiquities as well as the historical components that make the city great. Visitors can take self-guided tours while seeing rotating and permanent exhibits from Tuesday to Sunday. The fully restored 1913 railway trolley is a must-see!
The Colorado Freedom Memorial pays tribute to our country's heroes. This free-to-enter memorial is unique in that it honors all Colorado veterans, regardless of rank or conflict. Look for names or take a tour around the grounds; you might even catch a glimpse of the F-16 fighter jets passing by.

Southlands, often known as "Aurora's Main Street," is an Outdoor Lifestyle Center offering year-round activities. During the summer, there are free concerts for the entire family to enjoy. Southlands hosts holiday-themed events and has an ice rink in the winter. While the ice rink charges a nominal cost, your permit is valid for the entire day.
Murals will be installed at strategic locations across the neighborhood to bring color and energy to an already dynamic environment. The majority of the paintings will be on East Colfax in the 9000 blocks, but an event map will be available so that visitors may see all of the murals in the neighborhood, which extend from Dayton Street to Florence Street.
The Cherry Creek Regional Trail is a scenic 40-mile trail that connects suburban and rural Arapahoe and Douglas Counties, including the cities of Parker, Centennial, and Franktown, and begins in downtown Denver. You can jog, cycle, run, or simply stroll along any stretch of the path while taking in the varied scenery and terrain.
Every Saturday at 2:00 PM, Dry Dock Brewing Company North Dock offers free tours. Guests of all ages are welcome, however, those who want to try free samples must be 21 or older. Dry Dock Brewing Company, which brews over 19,000 barrels of craft beer each year, is a favorite among Coloradans.
