Nepali Women's History

March is Women’s History Month. Come learn about women’s history in Colorado and around the world at our Speaker Series. Each event features a different expert discussing an aspect of women’s history. Register and learn more.

Join us this International Women's Day to learn about key women in Nepal's history. Binisha Shrestha will discuss renowned Nepali athletes, a chief justice, Nepal's first female president, writers, and businesswomen. Then, award-winning athlete Mira Rai will share how she went from a child soldier to one of the world's best female ultrarunners. Refreshments will be provided.

The Aurora History Museum and Historic Sites, AARP, the Colorado Nepalese Community, and the Colorado Health Foundation provide funding for the event.
