September History Hike: Rocky Mountain Arsenal

We will be walking through the park observing different wildlife while learning about the history of how a military space became a nature preserve. Nelson Holland (@FatBlackAndGettinIt) will be on this walk to discuss accessibility in the outdoors. Please meet by the Prairie Loop Trailhead. We will be taking the 1.2 mile long Lake Mary and Locust Loop Trails. These trails are partially paved and wheelchair friendly. Bring water, sun protection, and a rain layer- Colorado summer weather is unpredictable!

The content for this hike is written for adults, but children 13 and older are welcome to join.
