Visit Aurora Announces Key Promotions: Randi Morritt to Chief Operating Officer and Amber Hejduk to Assistant Director of Sales

Aurora, Colo., – July 15, 2024 - Visit Aurora, the official destination marketing organization for Aurora, Colorado, is thrilled to announce the promotion of two key team members: Randi Morritt to Chief Operating Officer and Amber Hejduk to Assistant Director of Sales. These promotions recognize the exceptional contributions of both individuals and their unwavering commitment to driving the organization’s mission forward.

Randi Morritt has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Randi’s journey with Visit Aurora began in 2016 as the Director of Communications. Her visionary leadership and strategic acumen quickly propelled her through the ranks, culminating in her recent promotion. In her new role, Randi will oversee daily operations, ensuring strategic planning and execution to enhance organizational efficiency.

Randi's tenure at Visit Aurora has been marked by transformative initiatives, including reimagining the marketing function, championing the brand, and increasing destination marketing revenues. She led the organization’s response during the pandemic, spearheading Aurora’s Travel & Tourism Recovery Plan and supporting the launch of the Recovery Relief Program. She has been a key player in developing the Aurora Borealis Festival, launching in November 2024.

Randi holds several prestigious awards, including the U.S. Travel Association’s Emerging Leaders Award (2021) and Destinations International’s 30 Under 30 Award (2018). She is also an active community volunteer, working with the Cherry Creek School District and Pickens Technical College on their industry advisory committee boards.

Amber Hejduk has been promoted to Assistant Director of Sales. Amber is an accomplished sales and marketing professional with over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry. In her new role, Amber will drive sales strategies, manage the sales team, and develop strong client relationships to attract meetings, conventions, and events to Aurora.

Amber's tenure at Visit Aurora has been marked by successful sales initiatives that have significantly contributed to the organization’s growth. She developed and implemented innovative sales strategies, securing high-profile meetings and events and fostering strong client relationships. Amber’s leadership has been instrumental in achieving significant sales targets and driving the overall success of Visit Aurora.
